Differences between driver versions.
================================================================

- TDI driver works on Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7.

- WFP driver works on Windows 7 and higher. It is required on Windows 8 and higher to filter Metro applications and other processes in AppContainers, because Microsoft has disabled TDI interface for this kind of applications.

Windows 7 build can be used instead of TDI driver on Windows 2008 R2. Some applications (e.g. Exchange Server) on this server version of Windows cannot be filtered with TDI driver.

Windows 8 build of WFP driver uses additional API functions, allowing to avoid blocking connections redirected to local proxy. If your project doesn't use redirection, it is possible to use Windows 7 build on Windows 8/8.1 and Windows 10.

Windows 10 build of WFP driver is Windows 8 build, signed with EV certificate via Microsoft Dev Portal. Starting from Windows 10 build 1607 the drivers signed with generic non-EV certificates don't work when secure boot is enabled.
